Well – we survived it!!
A busy weekend was had with Mojo and we ended up with 3 gigs in 2 days – not many you think… Especially when compared to the soon to be online Equilateral band! They had 11 gigs from Thursday to Monday night! Mind you none of them is in their 50s, but I would certainly wish them the best and hope they are still at it when they reach their 50s! And won’t they just love me saying that!!
I’ll set a few photos below of them as they played at the Maumbury Rings here in Dorchester on Bank Holiday Monday.
On our drive to Lyme Regis and the Royal Standard gig on Sunday evening it was chucking it down and thick fog was down over Askers, just before Bridport. I couldn’t help wondering about the Monday outdoor gig!!
Monday turned out to be beautiful! Maumbury Rings is a fantastic venue for open air gigs and although near built up areas the sound would appear to be kept within the Rings. Fantastic engineering all those years ago! I have to say that I find it difficult to get any good information links about this event!! I think I’m right in saying the event was sponsored by Julia’s House.

Smile Nick you’re on camera! He says he’s always smiling inside when he’s playing. (I can understand that one!)

Unfortunately – I was unable to stay much longer, but I caught some of the next act – the Baddest Blues Band Ever. Great Blues sound! Just sorry I couldn’t stay for the whole show….
